A Gentle Summer Reset: How 10 Minutes of Art Journaling Can Change Everything

Summer often comes with big expectations and hope: for fun in the sun, longer days, time to relax. But for many of us, this turns into putting an exorbitant amount of pressure on ourselves to curate the best summer ever and squeeze in "all the things."
What if this summer could be different?
What if you could create a slower summer? Slowing down, tuning in, and listening to your needs. Not by doing more, but by pausing for a few mindful minutes a day?
For me, that's where art journaling comes in, and why I created W.I.L.D. Within.
Why Summer is the Perfect Time for a Creative Reset
In summer, we naturally feel the call to get outside, soak in the sun, explore, and create adventures. But in our society of "more is more," we tend not to allow ourselves to really be still. Art journaling invites you to do that in a creative, engaging way that allows you to still feel like you're doing something, but without all the pressure.
"But Vicky," you say, "summer is so short! I have so many things that I want to do before it's all gone!" I get it. And I also argue that art journaling for just 10 minutes a day will make it easier for you to do more of the things you love about summer.
Hear me out. With just 10 minutes a day, you can begin to:
Feel more grounded
Release the noise and clutter in your mind
Reconnect with what lights you up
Hear your inner voice again
Listen to what your body is asking you for
The more you can be in touch with your own wants and needs, the more you'll. be able to prioritize yourself and what you love, instead of what society thinks you should love.

What is W.I.L.D. Within?
W.I.L.D. Within is a month-long, self-paced virtual art journaling retreat. But unlike other workshops and courses, there are no deadlines, no pressure, and no falling behind. You have the space and freedom to explore in your own time, but with the added support of a private community space, and access to me to help cheer you on as you go on your journey.
To make it manageable and not overwhelming, I've designed the retreat to run only on weekdays, giving you time on the weekends to just be. That being said, if the weekends are better for you, you'll be able to do it then.
Each weekday, you'll receive a nature-inspired prompt that follows my W.I.L.D. Creativity Framework:
Wonder (Mondays)
Inspiration (Tuesdays)
Liberation (Wednesdays)
Discovery (Thursdays)
And as a bonus on Fridays, we'll ground ourselves with Rooting.
You'll also get:
Beginner-friendly techniques (not special equipment or skills needed!)
Optional journaling prompts if you want to go deeper into a topic
Access to a warm, supportive community
A resource library to revisit anytime
Whether you start today or next week, it's here for you when you're ready. And it's designed to work in any season, so you can revisit this in the winter, and the prompts will absolutely still be relevant.

What You'll Need
Not much! A simple journal, a pen, and any art or craft supplies you can get excited about: watercolors, markers, collage scraps, or even just your favorite tea and 10 minutes of quiet.
No fancy setup required. Just a willingness to show up for yourself.
This Isn't About Perfection. It's About Permission.
W.I.L.D. Within was born from my own journey of needing space. Space to express, reflect, and be me again. I designed this course for women like me (and maybe like you) who are ready to reclaim a part of themselves through creativity and reconnecting with nature.
You don't have to be ready for a big change. Just ready to begin.
