About the event

Step into the balance of the Autumn Equinox with a gentle walk, mindful reflection, and art journaling in nature. Together, we’ll pause in a quiet clearing to honor the shift in seasons, centering ourselves before the days grow shorter. Through guided meditation and creative expression, you’ll set meaningful intentions for the months ahead and leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and connected — both to yourself and the natural world.

All materials will be provided, or bring your own if you'd like.

Can't make it in person? Join us virtually the following week! 9/28/2025 at 4pm EST. I'll guide you through all of the same invitations and use the power of visualization to guide you through a virtual nature walk. Sign up!

FAQ

Do I need any experience with art or journaling?

Not at all! This gathering is beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be an artist or a writer — art journaling is about expression, not perfection. I’ll guide you through simple, accessible prompts.

What should I bring?

  • I will have some blankets with me for us to sit on while we journal, however you may want to pack your own blanket or cushion to sit on outdoors.

  • A small backpack or bag to carry your journal and art supplies in.

  • Water and weather-appropriate clothing.

How long is the event?

Plan for about 2 hours total. This includes gathering together, a gentle trail walk, guided reflection/meditation, and time for journaling.

How strenuous is the walk?

The walk will be slow-paced and calming, not strenuous. The trail is easy, and we’ll pause to take in the surroundings. If you have mobility concerns, let me know in advance so we can make sure you’re comfortable.

What if the weather is bad?

If light rain is expected, we’ll still meet (it can add to the atmosphere — bring a raincoat!). In the case of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, I’ll notify participants that we're using our rain date.

Is this a religious or spiritual event?

This is not tied to any religion. However, if you have a spiritual practice, this can tie in beautifully with that. The Autumn Equinox is a natural turning point in the year, and we’ll use it as inspiration for reflection, intention-setting, and creative expression. You’re welcome to bring your own personal meaning to the experience.

Will there be time to share?

Yes, there will be an optional time for sharing insights or artwork. Sharing is never required — you’re welcome to simply listen or keep your reflections private.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Many people attend solo and find it to be a welcoming and comfortable space.
